Whatever the reasons may be, age, weight loss, no body likes sagging skin, however, unless it’s excessive, surgery seems a bit drastic!

Here are four effective and simple DIY remedies for loose skin.

Egg Whites – Egg whites are a natural astringent containing hydro-lipids that help lift and tighten loose skin. Just whisk two egg whites until frothy and apply. Wait until the first layer is dry and then add an additional layer. Leave the egg white on the skin for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse. Repeat this method twice a week to see the best results. An egg white and yogurt mask is also a must for your face. Mix your egg whites with a tablespoon of yogurt and leave on the face for 20-30 minutes before rinsing.

Lemons – We all know lemons are packed with vitamin C but did you also know it is an agent in collagen production? Lemons harbor astringent properties that can aid in minimizing the signs of aging. For this quick and easy fix squeeze some fresh lemon juice and gently rub it onto the skin. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and then wash it off. You can do this a few times each day and follow up with a face or body lotion. Sitting at your desk most of the day? Try a lemon juice and water spritz. Mix lemon juice with water, pour into a spray bottle and simply spritz your face and let air dry 1-2 times a day.

Honey – We all need honey in our lives as it is packed with antioxidants and is not only antifungal and antibacterial it is also hydrating and anti-aging. Mix 2-3 teaspoons of honey with a few drops of lemon and olive oil. Rub onto your skin and let dry, then rinse it off with warm water. Repeat up to 2 times a day. A honey face mask once a week is another great DIY fix. Mix a half tablespoon of honey with equal parts of sour cream. Add a half a teaspoon of turmeric and apply the mixture to your face, leave for 15 minutes. Rinse first with lukewarm water, then cold.

Aloe Vera – Perhaps best known for it’s healing qualities, aloe vera is another excellent resource for treating sagging skin. The malic acid improves the elasticity of skin and acts as a natural moisturizer. Apply the gel from an aloe vera plant directly to your skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and repeat several times a week. Want another once a week mask option? Mix a tablespoon of aloe with a teaspoon each of mayonnaise and honey. Apply to the face or neck for 15 minutes and then rinse.
